Notice is hereby given that a Plan of Water Management for Special Improvement District No. 1 of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District has been approved by the Board of Directors of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District. The plan was subsequently approved by Ken Knox, Deputy State Engineer, on behalf of the Office of the State Engineer.

That a copy of such a plan is filed in the office of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District located at 10900 E US Hwy 160, Alamosa, CO 81101, and also available for download to the left where same is open for public inspection by any interested person.

That public comment will be considered at a public hearing conducted by the Rio Grande Water Conservation District Board of Directors at the Inn of the Rio Grande, 333 Santa Fe Avenue, Alamosa, CO 81101 on October 24, 2007, beginning at 10:00 a.m. All objections to the Plan of Water Management must be filed in writing with Steven E. Vandiver, General Manager of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District at 10900 E. US Hwy 160 Alamosa, CO 81101 any time prior to the date of the public hearing. Public comment and objections heard on October 24, 2007 will be limited to 3 minutes.
