Hydrograph Analysis

Water levels in 370120105351501 (depth 320 ft) are at an approximate elevation of 7520 ft, while water levels in 370030105320501 (depth 51 ft and on Costilla creek) are at an approximate elevation of 7675 ft. That is a difference of 155 feet over a distance of about 3 miles horizontally.

Water levels in 370640105455501 (RG88, depth 1333 ft) are at approximately 7430 ft, while water levels in 370625105440001 (depth 210 ft) are approximately 7335 ft, as are water levels in 370710105435801 (depth 220 ft). That is a difference of 95 feet over a horizontal distance of about 1.5 miles.

Water levels in 371002105385301 (RG92, depth 277 ft) are at approximately 7440 ft, while water levels in 370300105544001 (RG96, depth 47 ft) are at approximately 7720 ft (or shallower). That is a difference of 280 feet over a horizontal distance of about 1500 feet, but approximately at the northern end of the Mesita fault. Layer 1 is about 300 ft thick in this area. Also note that water levels in 371107105385301 (RG 90, depth 266 ft) about a mile north is at approximately 7385 ft, or about 55 feet lower than RG92. Water levels in 371057105380001 (depth 52 ft) are about 7542 ft while water levels in 371045105373501 (depth 253 ft) are about 7572 ft. The difference is only 30 ft between the wells, but with a higher head in the deep well. The shallow wells 371057105380001 at 7542 ft and 370300105544001 at 7720 ft shows a 178 ft difference over little more than a mile. In deep wells 371002105385301 (RG92) at 7440 ft and 371045105373501 at 7572 ft shows a 132 ft difference over about the same distance.
